e-Skills for Jobs 2014: Mobilising to Support Job Creation and Upskilling of the Workforce, 6 May 2014 – Ethniki Conference Centre, Athens, Greece

During the course of 2014, the e-Skills for Jobs campaign is taking place in 30 European countries, informing students, unemployed people, ICT professionals and SMEs about the vast range of opportunities that ICT-related jobs present in response to the growing demand of ICT-skilled professionals -which is currently not met-despite high level of unemployment in Europe. The goal of the conference is to foster dialogue among key stakeholders and demonstrate the opportunities that the ICT industry offers to support the creation of jobs and growth in Europe.

The campaign comes under the umbrella of the European Commission’s Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs, an EU-wide multi-stakeholder partnership helping to address a shortfall in the number of European citizens with ICT professional skills, and to exploit the employment creation potential of ICT.
