Tallinn workshop on entrepreneurship education: more teacher support recommended

From 5 to 7 November 2019, empirica co-organised a workshop on entrepreneurship education in Tallinn, Estonia’s capital city. It was the second of three workshops in the project “peer-learning in entrepreneurship education and in women’s entrepreneurship”, coordinated by empirica on behalf of EASME. 57 participants gathered in Tallinn to share knowledge, experience and ideas to advance entrepreneurship education with a specific focus on supporting teachers. The interactive workshop brought together stakeholders representing ministries and other governmental bodies, business organisations, non-profit sector representatives, educators and the European Commission. The twelve participating countries were Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden and Ukraine. “It was a great opportunity to share experiences and advance policy-making in the field of entrepreneurship education”, says Stefan Lilischkis from empirica. “For example, there should be more emphasis on entrepreneurship as an overarching competence – relevant not only for business but for many spheres of life.”
