The CULTUREMAP study led by empirica and the European Commission will organise a workshop on: "Mapping and evaluating existing platforms (websites) within the cultural sector aimed at stimulating debate and cross-border exchange of matters concerning European culture" to take place on 19 March 2010 from 14:00 - 16:30 h at the European Commission at Centre Albert Borschette rue Froissart, 36, 1040 - Bruxelles. This workshop is intended to present and discuss the results from a pan-European study on mapping and evaluating existing platforms (websites) within the cultural sector aimed at stimulating debate and cross-border exchange of matters concerning European culture.
TThe objective of the workshop is to share the results and views with the invited experts, receive their comments and views on these but also opinions and advice on how to further develop the report and recommendations.
Prior to the workshop the study team will provide the invitees with a draft study report. The report will include a description of the objectives, the methodology used and the results achieved from a survey of almost 400 European websites which are provided online in a highly searchable knowledge base, selected case studies, conclusions and preliminary recommendations.
The workshop addresses in particular representatives from the
- European Cultural Contact Points (CCP)
- Owners, and operators of websites and online platform from the cultural sector and
- European Commission.
