Student Assistant in Digital Communications

We welcome students from various backgrounds who would like to support us in managing and creating content for our European research projects.

Tasks

  • Management of social media channels, preparation of content, analytics
  • Assisting in creating communication campaigns
  • Updating and editing project websites, SEO
  • Designing visuals and graphics
  • Conducting literature and desk research

Qualifications

  • You are studying humanities, social or political science, literature, marketing, communications, psychology, information technology, or a comparable course
  • Excellent communication and language skills in English and German (oral and written)
  • A strong interest in scientific and technical topics around digitalisation
  • Experience with social media apps (LinkedIn, Twitter, Mastodon, YouTube)
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress)
  • Firm knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in working with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign)
  • Very good desk research skills

Formal Requirements

  • A German place of residence in the Bonn area, social security number and tax ID
  • Enrolment in your study program for at least another year

  • Flexible working hours (12-20h a week, up to 40h during semester breaks if wanted by you)
  • 16€/hour during your first year
