Dr. Veli Stroetmann, Head of eHealth Research & Policy at empirica, has been named one of the 100 most influential figures in healthcare worldwide. The distinction was awarded on 14 November 2017 at MEDICA Trade Fair in Düsseldorf. The list is compiled by Grupo Mídia (GM), a Brazilian communication organizazion covering in Healthcare, Energy, Public Service and Lifestyle, and Healthcare Management International Magazine.
The list is divided into ten categories with ten eantries each: Industry, Innovation, Hospitals, Education and Research, Industry Organizations, Philanthropy, Management, Business, References and Sustainability. There is no ranking between listed persons.
Dr. Stroetmann has been included in the Management section, next to Erik Gerritsen, the Secretary-General of the Netherlands Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and Clemens Martin Auer, Head of the Cabinet of the former Austrian Minister of Health between 2003 and 2007 and currently Director-General at the Federal Ministry of Health, among others.
