Recently, empirica has become the supporting partner of SHAFE network Stakeholders Network on Smart, Healthy Age-Friendly Environments. The network consists of up to 170 other partner organisations across Europe from areas of health, social care, environment and ICT. Facing the Covid-19 social crisis, SHAFE took off as an initiative to empower all citizens of all ages to participate in ICT-built, digital environment to improve their social and physical health. By leveraging the expertise of multidisciplinary researchers and organisations, NET4Age-Friendly aims to check off the 4 objectives including implementing an age-friendly environment with focus on user experience, integrating health and well-being pathways, increasing the scope of the solutions and finally, pushing forward policy development and funding towards the initiatives.
