How to use and reap the benefits of the Blueprint personas for healthcare innovation design

It’s not easy designing and implementing healthcare innovation that takes into account end users in all their dimensions. However, personas can help you out.

Find out more about what personas can do for you on Thursday 10th December 2020 at 10 00 CET. The EIP on AHA Blueprint team, together with EHTEL, has set up a short 90-minute virtual, but still hands-on, workshop!

The workshop draws on the experiences of several organisations, including small- and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups. The virtual workshop introduces the Blueprint personas. It focuses on a set of positive experiences of their use.

It then enables attendees to drill down into use of a particular persona – Nikos, a plumber from Greece. As a person of working age with diabetes, hypertension, and mild COPD – who lives in an in a urban setting but without easy access to specialised services – digital solutions could be invaluable to Nikos.
This workshop shows how to work with end users to understand end user needs and where to head in terms of next steps.

Personas for education: AFEdemy (a SME) will showcase its experiences of using the Blueprint personas in educational modules to implement smart and healthy built environments or to develop business in this area.

Identifying customer segments: Jess Vogt, Empirica (also an SME) will provide information on identifying user groups, introduce a practical “How-to-guide” on how to use the Blueprint personas, and describe the proven benefits of interacting with customers.

Workshop in breakout rooms

Provides a hands-on opportunity on how to use the personas. Explores a given situation where redesign of service delivery/ digital innovation is needed based on the needs of a specific persona. Investigates the use of the Blueprint persona, Nikos, a person of working age with diabetes, hypertension and mild COPD who lives in an in a urban setting but without easy access to specialised services. Identifies what adaptations and types of digital solutions can support Nikos to manage his conditions, prevent deterioration of his health, and remain in employment.
