Challenge
Digital health and care services hold a great promise for improving access, efficiency, and quality of care across Europe. However, many innovations struggle to move beyond pilot stages due to fragmented policy frameworks, limited cross-border collaboration, and difficulties in scaling up across diverse regional contexts. Public authorities and health policymakers often lack specific guidance and evidence on how to implement digital innovations sustainably and fairly, particularly across different healthcare systems.
Solutions
To address these challenges, the DYNAMO project empowers policymakers and public authorities to adopt and scale digital health and care solutions through evidence-based policy design and implementation.
DYNAMO supports the public decision-making by identifying and testing successful digital health and care models, providing a digital tool to help tailor them to specific contexts and system conditions. By applying a collaborative approach (involving key stakeholders, policymakers, healthcare providers and citizens), the project focuses on replication and expansion of digital health initiatives through in-depth analysis and verification.
Results
DYNAMO has successfully improved policymaking capacity through concrete, evidence-based tools and guidance. It enhanced health outcomes and care efficiency through better access to tested digital innovations.
By supporting regional and national actors in designing inclusive digital health policies, DYNAMO reduced health inequalities and contributed to EU digital health strategy, aligning project outcomes with broader EU goals for digital transformation and accelerated scaling of digital health and care models across regions and Member States.
