The European mHealth Hub is a first-of-a-kind knowledge centre for mHealth implementations in the European region, established by the WHO and ITU and implemented by a consortium of 18 partners led by the Andalusian Health Services.

The Hub is providing support to countries that wish to implement and scale up mHealth strategies and programmes for the benefit of their citizens. Apart from support work, the Hub is developing a number of knowledge tools to support various aspects of mHealth implementation, incl. best practices for implementing non-communicable disease programmes, setting up assessment, evaluation and certification schemes, applying ethics considerations, etc.

empirica is supporting the development process of the knowledge tools, and is leading the work on establishing the Hub”s service portfolio and business plan to ensure the Hub is sustainable beyond 2020.
